- The modern and contemporary art Gallery has operated for four generations:
Giovanni Ponti (1896 - 1961), mayor of Venice and several times president of the Biennale in the same city, a great art lover. He was a Senator of the Italian Republic and Minister for the Performing Arts, Sport and Tourism in 1954.
His son Giorgio Ponti, a journalist for RAI and a great collector.
The grandson Alessio Ponti, the gallery owner.
Finally Alessio's son, Tommaso Ponti, an expert of modern and contemporary art.
